This week, I had the privilege of speaking with special guest Peter Werbe. If you’re a late-night radio fan, you’ll already know this name, especially if you hail from the greater Detroit area.

Peter Werbe is a political activist and a well-known figure in both alternative and commercial media in Detroit. He has been a member of the editorial board of Fifth Estate magazine. Peter worked as a DJ on Detroit’s major rock stations, including WABX, WRIF, and WCSX. Notably, he hosted Nightcall, which was WRIF’s phone-in talk show and the longest-running program of its kind in U.S. radio history, spanning from 1970 to 2016. Recently, he published his first book, “Summer on Fire – A Detroit Novel.” Join us as we delve into Peter’s contributions to radio and activism and his novel portraying life in Detroit circa 1967.
